CHEVROLET TAHOE

The following Terms and Conditions form an integral part of the rental agreement between MIRAGE RENT A CAR L.L.C. or MIRAGE RENT A CAR L.L.C. – Dubai Branch (“the Company”) as the First Party, and the Renter and Driver as the Second Party.

General Terms

1. The Renter is solely responsible for ensuring that all information and data stated in the agreement are accurate, and the Company bears no responsibility in this regard.
2. The Renter undertakes to return the vehicle to the Company and deliver it to the responsible employee in the same condition as received, immediately upon expiry of the agreement period, and to settle all due amounts.
3. The Renter and Driver must hold a valid driving license accepted by the authorities of the United Arab Emirates.
4. The full rental amount must be paid upon signing the agreement.
5. Any special requirements must be disclosed to the sales representative prior to signing the agreement, and any additional costs shall be added to the rental value.
6. The vehicle must be used in compliance with UAE laws, regulations, and norms. The Renter shall bear full responsibility for any violations or resulting damages.
7. All prices stated in the contract are in UAE Dirhams.
8. All terms and conditions applicable to the Renter shall equally apply to the Driver.
9. The Company reserves the right to remotely control, immobilize, or repossess the vehicle in case of non-payment or breach of the agreement or the law.
10. The maximum permitted speed is 160 km/h. First violation results in a warning, second violation incurs a fine of AED 2,000, and the third violation results in vehicle repossession without refund.
11. Driving the vehicle in the desert, on unpaved roads, or on racetracks is strictly prohibited. Violation shall result in a penalty of AED 25,000 plus all repair costs.
12. Placing advertisements, posters, or wraps on the vehicle without prior written approval is prohibited and will result in a fine of AED 15,000.
13. The Company is not responsible for any personal belongings lost or forgotten inside the vehicle.

Geographic Borders

14. The vehicle must not be driven the territorial borders of the United Arab Emirates. In case of violation, the Renter must immediately return the vehicle and pay all related expenses plus AED 50,000.

Kilometers

15. The agreement specifies the permitted mileage. Any excess kilometers shall be charged according to the rate stated in the agreement.

Insurance, Accidents, and Damages

16. All vehicles are insured in accordance with applicable UAE laws.
17. The insurance type must be selected at the time of signing the agreement.
18. Available insurance types:
    • Basic Insurance (included)
    • Comprehensive Insurance (CDW) – optional
    • Premium Comprehensive Insurance (SCDW) – optional
19. Basic Insurance:
    • If the Renter is at fault (Red Report) or the accident is against an unknown party, the Renter bears AED 5,000 plus 20% of repair costs and rental charges during repair. In case of total loss, AED 5,000 plus 20% of vehicle value applies.
    • If the Renter is not at fault (Green Report), the Renter bears only the rental value during repair.
    • If the driver is under 25 years of age or holds a UAE license issued less than 6 months prior, the Renter bears AED 5,000 plus 30% of repair cost and rental value during repair. In case of total loss, AED 5,000 plus 30% of vehicle value applies.
20. Comprehensive Insurance (CDW):
    • If the Renter is at fault, AED 2,500 plus 10% of repair cost and rental value during repair applies. In case of total loss, AED 2,500 plus 10% of vehicle value applies.
    • If the Renter is not at fault, no additional charges apply.
21. Premium Comprehensive Insurance (SCDW): Covers all accident-related damages with no additional charges borne by the Renter.
22. The Renter must immediately notify the Company and the police in case of any accident and submit an official police report. Failure to pay the required advance may result in refusal to accept the vehicle and continuation of the rental agreement.
23. Insurance does not cover damages resulting from desert driving, unpaved roads, or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
24. Insurance does not cover interior damages, tires, rims, misuse-related damages, or lost keys. Replacement key cost starts from AED 3,000.
25. Insurance does not cover fines or penalties imposed by judicial authorities.
26. The Renter must inspect the vehicle upon receipt and ensure all pre-existing damages are recorded in the Vehicle Condition Report (VCR).
27. In case of an accident, the agreement terminates automatically without refund or replacement.
28. Accidents involving two or more Company vehicles result in automatic termination, voiding of CDW/SCDW, and a fine of AED 25,000 per vehicle.
29. The Renter may not repair or maintain the vehicle without written approval from the Company.
30. The Renter bears full responsibility if insurance coverage is denied due to violation of law or policy terms.
31. The Renter shall bear all damages not covered by insurance.
32. In case of theft, the Renter shall pay 30% of the vehicle value stated in the insurance policy.

Rental Duration and Vehicle Return

34. One rental day is defined as 24 hours.
35. A grace period of two (2) hours is allowed; exceeding this is charged as a full day.
36. Early return does not entitle the Renter to any refund.
37. Vehicle returns on public holidays are not allowed and incur an additional day charge.
38. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as received.
39. Reservation cancellations are fully chargeable for the reserved period.

Payments and Other Fees

40. Additional fees:
    • Additional Driver: AED 25 per day (max AED 250) + 5% VAT
    • Administrative Fees: 3% of total paid amount + 5% VAT

Refundable Deposit

41. A refundable deposit of AED 2,000 is collected at the time of rental.
42. The deposit is held for up to 30 days after vehicle return.
43. Bank charges and currency exchange differences are borne by the Renter. Deposit refund requests must be submitted via email to [email protected] with agreement details.

Road and Traffic Violations

44. The Renter bears all road toll charges.
45. Additional administrative fees apply to toll payments.
46. All traffic fines during the rental period are payable by the Renter.
47. An administrative fee of AED 50 applies to each traffic violation.
48. The Renter bears all costs related to vehicle impoundment or reservation.

Value Added Tax (VAT)

49. VAT is applicable to all payments in accordance with UAE law.

Cleanliness

50. The vehicle must be returned in clean condition; otherwise, AED 250 cleaning fee applies.
51. Smoking inside the vehicle is prohibited and incurs AED 250 penalty.
52. Pets are not allowed. Any related cleaning or repair costs are borne by the Renter.

Jurisdiction

53. This agreement is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and UAE courts have exclusive jurisdiction.

Customer Acknowledgment

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have received the vehicle under this agreement and undertake to return it on the specified date. In case of failure to return the vehicle or pay the rental value, the Company reserves the right to take legal action in accordance with UAE Commercial Transactions Law, Civil Procedures Law, and applicable regulations. I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to all the above Terms and Conditions.
